swam 2.6.x instruments crashing logic 10.3.0

Post by tclement » Sun Jan 22, 2017 9:37 pm

Running:
Sierra 10.12.2
Logic Pro X 10.3.0
SWAM Saxes 2.6.1 64bit AU
SWAM Clarinets 2.6.1 64bit AU

I upgraded to Logic Pro X 10.3.0 a few days ago.

Now I'm experiencing intermittent Logic Pro X crashes. The crash seems to occur when clicking the Inspector plugin button or selecting the track. The crash is abrupt and LPX provides no error details other an an unexpected error occurred with the instrument. The crashes also occurred with SWAM 2.6.0 instruments. The crash has only occurred with my SWAM plugins.

The crashes have occurred on both my 2015 MacBook Pro systems after updating to LPX 10.3.0

I experienced another crash. This time on Logic Pro 10.3.1. It is not happening often, but concerns me.

I am running the latest version of all SWAM instruments

Anyone else experiencing a random Logic crash when using a SWAM instrument ?

Still occurring with Sierra 10.12.4 and Logic Pro 10.3.1. Latest SM instrument versions are installed.

This occurred again today just before the start of the performance. Logic abruptly disappears and a loud pop is heard through my amp speaker. It is happening on two different laptops.

The problem typically occurs upon changing tracks (clicking/selecting the new track with the mouse)

Here is the rest of the crash dump text. I had to split due to the 64K character limit per post.

crash dump removed by tclement since it wasn't helpful.

Still unpredictably crashing with latest OS X, Logic & SWAM updates.

I'm hoping for better reliability with Reason, when SWAM provides an update to expose "Vibrato Depth" and "Portamento Time" as selectable parameters to control.
