Re: Newbie question !

as a not very skillfull EWI (4000s) player I find that breath variation is the best way for vibrato. It comes naturally and sounds quite realistic. The only disadvantage is that long vibratos aren't easy (for me they're impossible, and I simply play short vibratos only). Sometimes the bend plates ca...

Re: other samplemodeling instruments lag when recording

I recommend to bounce/freeze the tracks. Or maybe try a different host, audio card, etc.

Re: How to get the Big Band sound?

to create sections I usually record for each voice several MIDI tracks live with a wind-controller. The already recorded tracks are muted, so I only hear what I'm currently recording. So it's not exactly overdubbing. Having created this variety of MIDI tracks, it gives lots of possibilities. I reall...

Re: How to get the Big Band sound?

in theory everything is there with Samplemodeling instruments. But as you know, one person cannot replace a band of trained musicians. I find the results from overdubbing manually played tracks very good, it gives some kind of brass section feeling. But it is hard work and takes a lot of time to fin...

Re: Iphone and ipad instruments ?

I was thinking about the same. An iPad, a MIDI-interface, and a battery-powered EWI would be an awesome minimal setup.

Re: Ms Sax Soprano Windcontroller preset

what might be the case: the SWAM engine loads with the keyboard mode as default. When you play with a wind controller, the CC2 (breath) is recognised. If you switch to windcontroller after that, you are still in keyboard mode. If that is the case, you must select windcontroller mode before the first...

Re: The Trumpet Problem

I understand the problem. But I find the internal synth very responsive, even with a sensitivity setting that is not ideal. When the EWI is optimised for SM instruments, the internal synth seem still playable to me. But I'm not a good EWI player.

Re: The Trumpet Problem
