Re: String Sections

What I mean is that all our Kontakt-based instruments, namely Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn & Tuba, are supplied with a patch (unison ensemble), including a sophisticated ensemble maker. All the instruments are subtly different in timbre, pitch, response to transients, timing etc.

No. Much more is needed to obviate the phasing effects.

Re: What about the SAMPLES for SM strings?

even if you don't always agree with each other. It looks, from Lele's post, that two different philosophies are now going to be confronted. Stefano & Lele are now challenging us (Peter and I) to do something better than their 7 MB physical modelled prototype. I need to recall that a pristine, sampl...

Re: The Violin!

Thanks Larry.

We are working hard to improve these string instruments. We are confident that they will be even better in a near future. The technology used for the Violin will be soon applied to the Viola and Cello.

Best,

Re: Microtuning Kontakt instruments

Dickbarbour, I don't use a sustain pedal as discussed in the manual, so I'm setting the plus or minus cents for each note by dragging the block up or down. Why does it not offer a -4 or +4 setting? It always skips from 3 to 5 in both directions. It does offer setting to any value. Just press the shi...
