Re: Double Bass

"Audio Modeling is the company that made the SWAM (S) Engine and instruments, distributed by Sample Modeling". Not exactly. The Swam engine was indeed developed by Stefano Lucato & Emanuele Parravicini. However, all Swam instruments were developed by Stefano Lucato (SL) & Emanuele Parravicini (EP),...

Re: What about the SAMPLES for SM strings?

even if you don't always agree with each other. It looks, from Lele's post, that two different philosophies are now going to be confronted. Stefano & Lele are now challenging us (Peter and I) to do something better than their 7 MB physical modelled prototype. I need to recall that a pristine, sampl...

Re: What about the SAMPLES for SM strings?

So maybe such notes in fact do sound this way on a wooden instrument, as well. This is definitely not the case, since the “reed sound” cannot be found in any existing solo string library. Whereas Stefano & Lele are to be commended for renovating the research on physical modeling and, most important...

Re: The Violin!

Thanks Larry.

We are working hard to improve these string instruments. We are confident that they will be even better in a near future. The technology used for the Violin will be soon applied to the Viola and Cello.

Best,
