Re: About Swam Instruments

Does it provide slapping (which I was told was invented by Jazz Double bass player to be loud enough to fit a brass section and only later was adopted by E-bass players) ?

Re: About Swam Instruments

SWAM began giving away its instruments for practically nothing to Roli users Not regarding the special situation with the Sample Modeling company, it's not unusual to give away "OEM" versions of software in a bundle with dedicated hardware while it's otherwise sold much more expensive per end user....

Re: About Swam Instruments

Unless there will be a decent consent, soon, hopefully AudioModeling will create a user forum, as right now it does not feel OK to discuss their products here.

Re: About Swam Instruments

When they don't actively offer the product (even for another price), IMHO it would be hard to argue, that buying it somewhere else would be illegal.

Re: About Swam Instruments

Like current politics in Germany: Sites that are in charge and usually show a lot of competence, mess things up as they fail to cooperate :( .

Re: Problem with Trumpet 3 note off

I on the contrary sometimes have the problem that seemingly a note-on is not acknowlaged. When playing this tone is not generated. When releasing the blow-pressure with the breath controller and then increasing it, no tone is generated, so it seems to be a missing note-on. Supposedly a Wind controll...

Re: EWI 5000 settings

Thanks for the KUDOs !!! The recordings on SoundCloud are two years old, and the last time we did a "professional" recording session. Unfortunately the singer has moved to another town, 12 months ago, and right now we are working with changing singers and trying to find a new and stable basis. Hence...

Re: Double Bass

There's a slight delay, barely perceptible, of about 1/4 second, with the Roli. 250 mSec ?!?!?!?!? IMHO much too much for decent usage. I feel that some 10 mSec is appropriate for live playing. As of now, the Roli Block is not serious competition for using a breath controller and/or traditional key...

Re: EWI 5000 settings

I admire your being so brave to attempt to learn to handle the wind controller :o I feel I built myself something that I esteem being the best controller keyboard of the Universe  . It consists of a VPC1 (true Grand Piano keyboard for computer use), a controller board with Motor Faders, the BBC...

Is “Audio Modeling” a new process, or, did you mean, “Sample” Modeling?
